The Architectural Triumph and the Great Midnight Demolition

image 1Listen, being 36 months old isn’t all nap times and glitter. Sometimes, it involves serious civil engineering. Last weekend, Baba and I embarked on a massive construction project: building a house directly over my crib. We worked from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. That’s four hours of intense labor. Do you know how many episodes of ‘Bluey’ I could have watched in that time? But the result was magnificent. I immediately moved all my high-value assets (my favorite toys) into my new real estate. It was the peak of my toddler career.

The Bachelor Lifestyle: Matcha and Street Food

image 1Then came last night. Mama has been ‘working late’ a lot lately—she even left her bike at the office once. Suspicious, right? Since she was out, Baba and I went on a wild night out. We hit the supermarket for matcha bread and did some high-brow browsing at the bookstore. For dinner, we went for hủ tiếu gõ and something called ‘fatty ribs’ which, ironically, contained zero fat. I suspect a marketing scam, but I was too hungry to file a formal complaint. The Midnight Rebellion and the Ghost Move

image 1Usually, I sleep on the ‘Big Bed,’ but last night I had a stroke of genius: I would sleep in my new house. Mama wasn’t thrilled. She was a bit grumpy until I finally drifted off. But then, drama struck. I must have been talking in my sleep (I have a lot of thoughts, okay?), and Baba decided it was time for me to go back to the Big Bed. I resisted. Loudly. I mean, why build a house if you can’t live in it? Baba, apparently suffering from ‘Parental Sleep Deprivation Syndrome’ (a real thing, see this guide on toddler sleep challenges), lost his cool and ‘deconstructed’ my beautiful house. It was a demolition derby in my bedroom! Mama and I had to evacuate for five minutes just to let the dust settle. We eventually crawled back into the ruins to sleep. But here’s the kicker: when I woke up this morning, I was back on the Big Bed. Was it a dream? Did I teleport? Or did Baba realize that demolishing my mansion wasn’t his finest hour? I suspect the latter.
