The Ball That Was NOT To Be (And The Betrayal of My Own Tummy)

The Ball Incident of 2026

Okay. Let me set the scene.

There I was. At Decathlon. With Baba. Standing RIGHT IN FRONT of the most beautiful, magnificent, giant ball I have ever seen in my entire 20 months of life.

I was SO ready. My arms were ready. My whole soul was ready.

And then.

My tummy said: “Nope.”

Out of NOWHERE. A full-blown tummy attack. No warning. No apology. Just absolute chaos from the inside.

Scientists and experts say that throwing and catching a ball at my age is serious developmental work — it builds coordination, motor skills, and spatial awareness. SERIOUS. WORK. And I was ROBBED of this serious work by my own digestive system. The betrayal is historic.

Baba panicked. (Obviously.) I, a woman of dignity and grace, pooped my pants at the sports store. We went home immediately. The ball was never touched. I am still processing this trauma.

The Curse of That Tent Spot

Here is something I have noticed. And I am noticing it with GREAT suspicion.

Every. Single. Time. I get near that little tent sitting area at the store — my tummy starts doing its thing.

  • First time: tummy ache. Coincidence? Maybe.
  • Second time: tummy ache again. Hmm.
  • TODAY: Full poop emergency. Case closed.

That spot has a virus. I am almost certain. Or maybe it’s haunted. Either way, I will be filing a formal complaint to Baba about this location immediately.

The balance kit for ages 2 to 6 at Decathlon looked amazing too, by the way. Great for psychomotor development, they say. Too bad I was too busy being a biohazard to try it.

The 8/3 Gift Situation (Where Was MY Gift??)

Let us also discuss the gift situation. Because I have THOUGHTS.

A few days ago was March 8th — International Women’s Day. A very important holiday, I am told. A holiday for women.

I am a woman. (A very small one. But still.)

Here is what happened:

  • Mama gave Baba two marbles. (Two! Very premium! Baba was very happy!)
  • Baba gave Mama a ring. (A ring!! Very shiny!!)
  • Sudo got… nothing.

NOTHING. On WOMEN’S DAY. I am a WOMAN.

They said “maybe next week, a bicycle or a chair or something.” A chair. They might buy me a chair. As compensation for being forgotten on Women’s Day. The audacity of these people.

I am choosing to remain optimistic. A bicycle would be very cool. My gross motor skills and balance development would benefit greatly. Experts literally wrote about this. I have sources.

But until then, I will be sitting here. Giftless. Ball-less. Slightly traumatized from the Decathlon incident.

Tomorrow better be a good day. My tummy owes me.
