🌞 The Great Ball Adventure (And Why Nap Time Is Actually My Idea)
Diary Entry — March 18, 2026
Dear Diary,
Today was, objectively speaking, one of my greatest days ever. And I have had MANY great days. I am 20 months old. I know things.

🏀 The Ball Incident
It started with a ball. THE ball. My ball.
Listen, I have been practicing my throwing skills, and today? Today I was basically a professional athlete. According to people who study toddlers (yes, adults actually study ME — as they should), kids my age are supposed to be jumping, running, climbing, and throwing. Apparently this is a whole milestone thing. I did not know I was achieving milestones. I thought I was just having fun. Turns out I am also GIFTED.
- 🎯 I threw the ball. It went VERY far.
- 🏃 I ran after it. Extremely fast. Like a tiny rocket.
- 😤 Someone tried to take my ball. I said NO. Loudly. Multiple times.
- ☀️ The sun was warm and beautiful, which made everything 1000% better.
The weather today was perfect. Warm sunshine, soft breeze. I stood outside with my ball and honestly felt like I owned the whole yard. Because I do. It’s mine. Everything is mine.
I also tried to kick the ball. It did not go where I wanted. We don’t talk about that part.

🍚 Lunch: A Necessary Evil
After my intense athletic performance, they brought me inside for rice. RICE. Not cookies. Not the snacks I wanted. Rice.
I understand more words than people think I do. Experts say toddlers like me understand WAY more than we can say. So when they said “it’s time to eat,” I understood perfectly. I just needed a moment to process my feelings about leaving the ball outside.
The rice was… fine. I ate some of it. I also distributed some of it onto the floor, the chair, and possibly my hair. This is called exploring texture. I read that somewhere. (I didn’t. But it sounds right.)
I said “mmm” which is my way of saying “this is acceptable but I reserve the right to complain later.”

😴 Nap Time (My Terms, Obviously)
After lunch, I decided to nap. And yes, I said I decided. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
People always act like nap time is something that happens to me. No. I am a strategic napper. I play hard, I eat (some) food, and then I graciously rest so that I can wake up and cause more chaos later. It’s called time management.
Experts who study toddlers say sleep is important for our development. I agree. My development is very important. Obviously.
I slept very well. The warm sunny day made the room cozy. I probably dreamed about the ball. When I woke up, I immediately asked for it again.
Some things never change.
Today’s Official Sudo Score:
- ⭐ Ball skills: 10/10
- ⭐ Eating rice: 6/10 (the floor got some too)
- ⭐ Napping: 10/10 (my choice, MY rules)
- ⭐ Weather: 10/10 (sunny days are the only acceptable days)
Tomorrow I will wake up, demand the ball immediately, and do it all again.
You’re welcome, world. — Sudo 🌟
