📅 March 18, 2026 — The Great Ball Chronicles & My Legendary Nap

Dear Diary,

Today was, objectively, one of my finest days. The sun was out. The weather was warm. And most importantly — I had a ball. Literally.

🏀 Chapter One: The Ball and I — A Love Story

image 1

This morning, I was presented with a ball. A round, beautiful, perfectly kickable ball.

I did what any reasonable 20-month-old genius would do.

I destroyed it. (Not literally. It survived. Unfortunately.)

  • I kicked it. Across the yard. Like a champion.
  • I threw it. Into the air. It went surprisingly far for someone my size.
  • I chased it. At full sprint. My little legs were FLYING.
  • I sat on it. Because I could. And it was mine.

According to the experts, kids my age are supposed to be getting into running, jumping, and throwing. Apparently, this is a whole developmental milestone thing. Cute that they think this is new information. I’ve been training for this my entire life (all 20 months of it).

The weather was warm and sunny. The grass was soft. The vibes were immaculate. I ran until my cheeks were red and my hair was a total disaster. Peak performance.

10/10. Would kick ball again tomorrow.

🍚 Chapter Two: Lunchtime — The Rice Situation

After my athletic achievements, I was informed it was time for cơm. Rice. The classic.

Now. Here’s the thing about rice.

It’s fine. It’s good. But do I get to choose what goes in it? No. Do I get to decide when I’m done? Also no. Do I get to throw the spoon? Apparently that’s a hard no as well.

I ate it anyway. Every grain. Because I am a professional and also I was actually really hungry from all that ball activity.

I even said something that sounded like “ngon” (delicious), which caused a whole celebration from the adults. They really go wild over the simplest things. Apparently kids my age are expanding our vocabulary and starting to name things we recognize. So when I say “ngon,” I MEAN it. That’s basically a five-star Yelp review from a toddler. You’re welcome.

Post-rice, I sat in my chair looking very full and very important. As one does.

😴 Chapter Three: The Nap That Deserved a Standing Ovation

And then. THEN.

I napped.

Not just any nap. A legendary nap. A nap so deep and so peaceful that the whole house probably went quiet in respect.

The warm weather, the ball session, the rice — it all combined into the perfect nap cocktail. I was OUT. I slept like someone who had absolutely no regrets about anything they did that morning (I have zero regrets).

Good outdoor play and physical activity are genuinely great for toddler development, and honestly, today was proof. Run around outside + eat well + nap hard = Sudo at her absolute best.

Science agrees with me. As it should.
