The Great Family Fever Crisis of 2026 (And The Mysterious Red Bag)

Date: 2026/03/20

The Mysterious Red Bag 🔴

There is a red bag in this house.

I have been staring at it. I have been sniffing it. I have been circling it like a tiny, highly intelligent detective.

WHAT. IS. INSIDE. IT.

Baba says it’s cereal. Cereal. In a RED bag. Very suspicious. Also apparently I “can’t eat it yet.” Excuse me? I eat everything. I once ate a piece of paper and I turned out FINE.

Baba says tomorrow morning he’ll show me. TOMORROW MORNING. Do you know how long that is? That is approximately one million years from now. I am a person with NEEDS and CURIOSITY and I need to know RIGHT NOW.

I will be watching that bag all night. Don’t test me.

The Great Family Fever Crisis of 2026 🤒

Okay so. This week. CHAOS.

Apparently there is some kind of flu going around right now — Mama and Baba got hit HARD. Like, dramatically hard. Like a movie where everyone is suffering and there is sad background music.

Baba had a fever of 39°C for TWO to THREE days. Straight. In a row. That is not a fever, that is a personal attack on our household schedule. Mama was so scared she cancelled all plans, stayed home, and took Baba to the doctor. Very dramatic. Very stressful. I watched from a safe distance and judged everyone.

Me? I also got a fever. For exactly TWO days. And then I was FINE. Completely fine. Back to running, yelling, and refusing to nap as scheduled.

Why? Because I go to school, people. According to science, toddlers who attend daycare build up stronger immune systems because they’re exposed to more germs early on. My body has seen things. My immune system is basically a tiny warrior army at this point. Hehe. 💪

Meanwhile, two full-grown adults needed multiple days of rest, medicine, and doctor visits. Fascinating. Truly fascinating.

Also: Baba Has Been Too Busy for Playtime 😤

On top of ALL of this fever drama, Baba has been too busy with work to play with me in the evenings lately.

I understand the concept of “work.” I do not accept it.

Every evening I show up. I bring my toys. I make the internationally recognized “let’s play” face. And Baba is just… working. On a screen. Like some kind of very boring adult.

At 3 years old, I am at a critical stage of social and emotional development where play with caregivers is basically the most important thing in the universe. This is not me throwing a tantrum. This is SCIENCE, Baba. I am citing sources.

Please wrap up the work thing. I have blocks that need building and only you can do the voices for my stuffed animals correctly.

The Steak Dinner 🥩 (A.K.A. The Fever Survival Celebration)

image 3

On Sunday evening, to celebrate the fact that our family SURVIVED the Great Fever Crisis, Baba and Mama took me out for bò bít tết. Steak. A full steak dinner.

Was this a normal thing to do? No. Was it absolutely the correct decision? YES.

We sat around the table like three people who had just survived something terrible (we had), and we ate steak like champions. I had the best time. I was the healthiest one there. I deserved the most steak.

In conclusion: fevers are bad, immunity from daycare is good, the red bag mystery is ONGOING, and steak is the appropriate response to any family crisis.

That’s all for today.

  • 🔴 Red bag status: still unidentified, still suspicious
  • 🤒 Family fever status: recovering, slightly dramatic
  • 💪 Sudo’s immune system status: absolutely elite
  • 🥩 Steak dinner status: 10/10, would survive fever again for this
  • 🎮 Evening playtime with Baba status: PENDING RESTORATION

Hehe. Tối chủ nhật baba và mama đã dẫn sudo đi ăn bò bít tết để kỷ niệm ngày cả nhà bị sốt 🤣
