School Inspection Chaos!

Okay, so apparently, this week is “Inspection Week” at my school. Which, according to my mom, is a big deal. Something about grown-ups watching other grown-ups to make sure they’re doing things right. Sounds boring. And totally pointless. Like, do they need to inspect whether I’m being adorable? Because the answer is always YES.

The teachers are all stressed about this inspection thing. They keep saying we have to be on our “best behavior.” HA! As if “best behavior” is even in my vocabulary. My best behavior involves strategically placed toys and expertly timed tantrums. It’s an art, really.

The worst part? We have to be at school EARLY. Like, 7:30 AM early! That’s practically the middle of the night for a toddler of my caliber. Miss Teacher says they stop serving breakfast at 7:30 AM sharp because of the inspectors. Seriously? Inspectors before snacks? What kind of world is this?

Here’s the kicker: For the past TWO DAYS, I’ve strolled into class fashionably late at 7:45 AM. HA! Take that, Inspection Week! I’m pretty sure I saw Miss Teacher twitch a little when I sauntered in, covered in peanut butter and jam this morning. Maybe next time they’ll serve breakfast LATER.

Mom keeps muttering about “mornings” and “schedules” and “being on time.” Blah, blah, blah. Toddlers operate on their own time. It’s a universal law. I bet the inspectors don’t even realize how much smarter I am than them.

Today, I learned that inspectors don’t matter when you are as cute as me!
