Okay, so yesterday was supposed to be FUN. Sunshine, park, my bike – the whole deal. We went to Celedon City, and I was doing awesome on my bike. I even managed not to crash into any squirrels (mostly).

Then, DAD saw a HUGE, black cloud. Like, the kind you see in cartoons when something really bad is about to happen. He got all panicky and said we had to go home RIGHT NOW. Adults are so dramatic.

We were only halfway home when BAM! The wind went crazy. I’m talking chairs flying out of cafes like they were trying to escape. Then the rain started. Luckily, Mom and Dad had raincoats. I looked like a yellow duckling, but at least I was dry-ish.

We made it home okay, but Dad was all, “Maybe we should have stayed at the cafe!” Or, “A parking garage would have been safer!” Seriously? I was picturing myself sipping a fancy juice box in a cafe, watching the storm. Missed opportunity!
