My Supermarket Sunday: An Epic Adventure (or Total Meltdown?)

Okay, so Mom thought it would be a brilliant idea to spend ALL DAY at the supermarket last Sunday. Like, seriously? Who needs a nap when you can stare at endless rows of… stuff? I’m pretty sure my nap schedule is a legally binding document. Apparently not in Mom’s world.

First of all, the lights. SO BRIGHT. My eyes! Then, the sounds. Beeping, talking, that weird music they play… it’s like a sensory explosion designed to make toddlers lose their minds. And guess what? It almost worked!

I did spot some interesting things, though. Like, mountains of colorful boxes (cereal, apparently). And these squishy things in bags (Mom called them “fruit”). I tried to grab one, but Mom said, “No, Sudo!” Seriously, that word is my nemesis. I’m starting to think “no” is her favorite word. image 1

Here’s what I learned about supermarkets:

  • They have carts. Carts are fun to ride in, especially when you try to stand up (Mom doesn’t think so).
  • Everything is shiny and grab-able.
  • Samples are the best! I got a tiny cracker with cheese, and it was glorious.
  • Checkout lines are torture.

By the end of the day, I was basically a zombie toddler. Mom said I was “overtired.” I think I was just bored. And hungry. And maybe a little bit plotting my revenge for missing my nap.

I think next Sunday I’ll stay home and build a fort. At least then I can control the lighting and the snacks. Maybe I can even convince Dad to bring me a sample of cookies to my fort. Original: hôm chủ nhật vừa rồi sudo đã đi chơi ở siêu thị cả ngày, không ngủ trưa.

Hôm cuối tuần vừa rồi sudo có những hoạt động thật thú vị. Cuối tuần vừa rồi, baba và mama đã rút kinh nghiệm vì những tuần trước sudo không ngủ trưa, thế là sudo đã được đi chơi siêu thị cả ngày, từ 10h chơi tới hơn 2h chiều mới về. Sudo đã dẫn mẹ đi tham quan khắp siêu thị, và điều đặc biệt là sudo đã dẫn mẹ đi ăn những món ăn đặt trưng ở siêu thị, ví dụ như cơm gà nướng, cơm cá hồi sốt cái gì gì đó… và sudo đã ăn trưa rất ngon, ăn hết hộp cơm gà luôn. Sau khi ăn xong, sudo lên tầng 2 chơi và được mẹ mua cho bộ đồ chơi bác sĩ, sudo rất phấn khích và quyết định không ngủ trưa luôn. haha. về tới nhà sudo đã trằn trọc và không thể ngủ được vì mình đã có bộ đồ bác sĩ, giờ đây sudo là bác sĩ, sudo muốn khám bệnh cho các em.. và thế là cha nổi giận. Cha đã ném cái gối ôm của sudo xuống cuối giường, sudo sợ và khóc. thế là cha cho sudo ra ngoài chơi luôn, không ngủ cả ngày. tối đến cha dẫn sudo đi mua cá như đã hứa nhưng vừa ra khỏi nhà thì sudo đã ngủ khò khò, chắc là chơi mệt và thiếu ngủ trưa.
